Top Ten Web Hosts

By Russell Hancock

Whether you are a seasoned webmaster or you are just starting out, how do you choose a web host from the hundreds, or thousands out there?

We have looked at what we feel are the top ten hosting providers, and have given you our honest review of these.

Our reviews are short and to the point, we are not going to overwhelm you with information that you don't need. Most people are just content with finding an affordable and reputable host that they can trust. These Web hosting companies have been selected based on overall popularity, performance, features, customer service, quality and price.

This week we have rated the following hosting companies;

#1. Apollo

#2. BlueHost

#3. Easy CGI

#4. Fast Domain

#5. Fat Cow

#6. Good Avocado

#7. Host Monster

#8. Host Gator

#9. IX Web Hosting

#10. Pow Web

All of the hosting providers we looked at have been in business for a number of years and have firmly established themselves as leaders in the industry.

In the past few years, web hosting has become an extremely competitive industry, some hosts are offering much lower rates if you sign up for longer terms. Some as low as $3.88 a month.

Some hosts also offer free website migration if you are already hosted elsewhere, generally this requires you to sign for a minimum term.

Always do your research and determine the type of hosting you need before you commit to a particular web host. By doing this, you can save yourself much grief in the long run. With so much competition in the industry, it is most certainly a buyers market.
